Plowboy Records announces the label’s official SXSW showcase on March 15th at Saxon Pub in Austin, Texas. The bands are available for interviews and will perform music from their new releases. Label co-founder, Shannon Pollard told Billboard that the idea for the label came about through his managing the estate of his grandfather, Eddy Arnold. “I had been looking for an avenue to re-introduce younger folks to his legacy, and what he was a part of for country and pop music history as well.” Pollard explains the labels goals, saying “We want to be very open-minded to things that are interesting, and don’t nail us down to one specific genre.”
